#pill 17 Chakra: how to free your real potential, bringing the energy of the 7 Chakras back into balance.
According to Eastern and Indian medicine and tradition, there are 7 main Energy Centers, called Chakras, which govern the planes of expression of our life at the following levels: physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual.
The word Chakra comes from Sanskrit and means: “vortex or wheel“, they appear as rotating energy vortices located in various areas of the body, the energy centers receive energy from the surrounding environment, and expel the energy consumed by the energy metabolism to the outside, the functioning of the organs, as well as emotional states and each of them is connected to an endocrine gland.
In my work I often find myself using the muscle test (applied Kinesiology) to evaluate the opening and energy balance of the Chakras aware of their important influence on the Psycho-Physical balance of the person.

A chakra can be:
•Normovital if it rotates at a proportionate speed and functions in a balanced way.
•Hypovital if it rotates slowly and with difficulty, its functions temporarily slowed down.
•Hypervital if it rotates in an accelerated and whirling way, it is an overload of energy.
There are many Chakras: major, minor, mini-chakra and micro-chakra, for a good and effective investigation it is used to evaluate the 7 Major and the 4 Extra Corporeal, unfortunately in Western culture and in diagnostics these energy centers are almost ignored, but with a careful and capable evaluation they can give a complete Psycho-Energetic map of the person.
There are many methods to rebalance the Chakras, the ones I use during treatments are: therapy based on Harmonic Frequencies of the Chakras, the use of stones/crystals and essential oils diluted in carrier oil and massaged on the Chakra area.
Let’s get to know them better:

- 1 Muladhara Chakra or of Base/Root: related to the adrenal glands, colour: red, element: earth, ‘I exist, I have the right to be there’, its antagonistic energy is: ‘fear’. It is located at the height of the perineum, it governs: physical needs, contact with the body and the earth, impulses and instincts, physical and emotional stability, the bond with the family, the relationship with parents the home, work and also with money. It is extremely active big and strong in athletes and physical caregivers. On the physical level it controls: blood, bone marrow, internal tissues and organs, teeth hair and nails, kidneys and adrenal glands, body temperature and vitality. The crystals are: red diaspore, hematite and garnet. The essential oils are: sandalwood, sage and ginger.
E.g. an apathetic, hypo-vital person has a drained first chakra, while a vital, always-moving person has an overactive first chakra (the latter controls psychic and physical vitality).

- 2nd Chakra Svadhishsthana or Sex Chakra: associated with the gonads (ovaries and testicles), colour: dark orange, element: water, ‘I create, I am flexible, I experience emotions and pleasure’, antagonistic energy: ‘guilt’, located in the pubic area, sacral plexus. It governs all aspects related to sexuality expressed to its full emotional potential = pleasure/desire attraction (sexuality on the physical level is governed by the 1st Chakra), sense of freedom, creativity, aspects of the masculine and feminine; it is blocked by guilt. The organs involved are: sexual, colon, Urinary system, balance of body liquids. Crystals are: moonstone, pink calcite, carnelian. The oils are: sweet and bitter orange, cypress and jasmine.

- 3rd Manipura or Solar Plexus Chakra: connected to the pancreas, colour: yellow, element: fire, ‘I can, I act, I am worth’, antagonistic energy: ‘shame’, located in the diaphragm area, at stomach level. On a physical level it governs: diaphragm, liver, large and small intestine, pancreas, stomach, gall bladder and part of the appendix. On an emotional/psychological level it is the individual’s inner drive to fulfil oneself, to determine oneself, it is related to the desire to succeed, linked to self-esteem, willpower, manages dominance and submission, courage, tenacity and grit, personal power, anxiety, jealousy the desire for independence and leadership. The crystals are: yellow calcite, dyspore, amber. The oils are: aniseed, chamomile, fennel, mint and grapefruit.

- 4th Anahata or Heart Chakra: related to the thymus, colour: green, element: air, ‘I love and am loved, I know how to give and receive, I go towards others with trust, without defences and with openness. I love myself and others’. Antagonistic energy: ‘pain’, located in the centre of the thorax, controls on a physical level: heart, lungs, bronchi, circulatory system. On an emotional level: it is the capacity to love affectively and emotionally, to accept the other, to be empathetic, to forgive and welcome the other with benevolence, to use the heart instead of pure reason, it is like a knob that opens and closes and provides for the exchange relationship with the other without stiffening, defences, distrust and past conditioning, compassion and humility. The crystals are: green agate and rose quartz. The oils are: Rose, lavender, lemon balm, mimosa.
E.g. Overly closed heart cold person without emotions hypoactive chakra; overly open chakra hyperactive, overly open-hearted and empathic person.

- 5th Vishuddha or Throat Chakra: related to the thyroid gland, colour: light blue/blue, element: ether/sound, location area: throat, Adam’s apple. ‘I am, I communicate, I listen, I express myself, I am authentic and free’, antagonistic energy: “dishonesty and lies”. On a physical level it controls: neck, throat, larynx, pharynx, trachea, cervical vertebrae, lymphatic system. On an emotional level: it is the energy centre in relation to expressiveness, the ability to freely express one’s idea or thought, the ability to listen and feel heard, to express one’s thoughts, emotions and feelings as well as to tell the truth, if repressed one experiences a communication block, a tendency to lie, repression and difficulty in beginning the truth. The crystals are: Amethyst, fluorite, sodalite, lapis lazuli. The oils are: eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree.
E.g. The Throat Chakra is one of those that I commonly find out of balance in people, given the importance of communication in life and in relationships with others it is easy to find it in closure or suffering, as a result of conflicts of all kinds, important to work on and rebalance, as prolonged suffering on an emotional level can result in the physical level with a thyroid problem or vice versa.

- 6th Ajna or Third-Eye Chakra: gland: pituitary gland, element: Light, colour: violet, ‘I see clearly, I see clearly within myself, I can reason, process and have critical capacity, self-control and intuition.’, anatagonist energy:‘ illusion, disturbance of thought, reasoning and judgement’. It is located at the level of the third eye, it regulates on a physical level the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, eyes nose, nervous and endocrine systems. On an emotional level it is intuition, imagination, mental clarity, self-realisation, control of impulsiveness and discipline, usually blocked by illusions. The crystals are: amethyst, herkime diamond, hyaline quartz. The oils are: laurel, anise, lemon, mandarin.
E.g. It is intuition, what is often called the sixth sense and allows us to understand before we see, in a negative sense the Ajna Chakra can lead to a certain degree of manipulation.

- 7th Chakra Sahasrara or Crown Chakra: related to the pineal gland, element: spirit, emptiness, silence; colour: violet indigo, bright white light and violet glow. It is located in the centre of the nape of the neck. ‘I realise, I know who I really am, I expand my consciousness’. Antagonistic energy: ‘attachment’; on a physical level it controls: the cerebral cortex, epiphysis, pituitary gland, central nervous system, energises the whole body. On an emotional level: it is the centre of spirituality, of the connection to the spirit, it opens the mind to mature a higher awareness and get in touch with the divine plane, ‘union of ourselves with the Whole’, it governs wisdom, knowledge is the centre of spirituality and faith, ‘knowing without seeing’, its meaning is empathy. The crystals are: amethyst, Herkime diamond, hyaline quartz. The oils are: lavender, frankincense, rosewood, St. John’s Wort.
