Women Cycling Project is a project that my partner Glenn Van der Meer and I created, in conjunction with the support of my family, at the end of 2020. It became official in January 2021, it is a female cycling team involved in the categories Women Juniores and Elite.
Women Cycling Project is an affiliate Team of CONI and FCI (Federazione Ciclistica italiana); the aim is to give a possibility for young girls and, for more experienced ones to appear in the top cycling category, while at the same time experimenting élite cycling outside the Italian border, that is to say in Belgium. Besides having a base in Alessandria, Italy, my team has an operative base with equipment and staff in Belgium

It was given birth in a challenging social moment and to find support was not easy so that’s why I proudly list those who had the courage and enthusiasm to support us at the very beginning of the project, I mean our sponsors:

– Funima International Onlus: non-profit organization set up in 2005, working in the field of solidarity and in defence of human rights.

Our team took part in an International race in Belgium in May, having one of our athletes in the first 30 positions; also taking part in other several races in Italy (women open and juniores) and in Belgium (élite women) ranking a few top 10 from different athletes and one podium. The aim of the team is to get the athlets to grow in a professional environement, by transmitting the values of Sport, but above all human values that we reckon the most. All my staff and myself are supported by our sponsors; they believe in us and thanks to our passion we are determined to grow and improve in reaching important goals.
